Subject:
Confused?!
Dear Adam and Chancellor, Going through your "Submission
Organization" site to increase my knowledge on Islam, as I personally am
a muslim, I was very shocked to see the conflict in our religion and the
information you supply others. I would like to know from where do you get
the sources of your information and on what basis.
I was brought up on different beliefs and practices in
my community other than the ones you posted?!? To me it seems, your trying
to analyze the Quran on your understanding and convincing others with it,
somehow I find it its not a matter of convincing its a matter of confusing
a muslim believer brought up in the right Islamic up bringing.
I found many misleading information that I wont go into
now, but I would like to emphasize major ones that I personally find to be
very important for everyone to know the right rules of Islam such as the
"Dress code for women",
Comparing your site with others I found they had the right
interpretation of the Quran verses that stated only the face and hands to
be revealed, and the length was to the ankle, on what basis do you support
your explanation that "God DELIBERATELY, said, tell them, to lengthen their
garments, and never said how long is long". Where you brought up on this
belief?? Cause I was not!
This brings me to my second point, Fasting during menstruation
is permitted??!! Since when?! and handling and reading the Quran also while
menstruating?! Is this a new trend of the Millennium?
Last but not least, even thought I am filled with many
questions that if I got into now I will never finish, As an Islamic site
for other muslims and non muslims to view I wonder why the site mentions
God instead of Allah, which in my understanding other religions and cultures
do know Allah besides God.
Following this I didn't find the music of Brian Adams
"Anything I do I do it for you" an appropriate background to have for an
islamic site,so as the attractive girl?! I am wondering what is your point
behind this, is it to give the impression that islam is cool?!, if so in
my opinion there are many other ways to attract people to learn more about
Islam and practice their religion in THE proper way that we were brought
up with and taught.
I would really appreciate it if you can supply me with
convincing answers, that may be somehow will convince me?!And which the Quran
supports strongly.
P.S I hope this will be posted! Thanks.
Signed, Utterly Confused
Peace be upon you Dear "utterly Confused":
Thank you for your e-mail. God willing I can answer some of your questions
from the Quran. Please, let us both keep an open mind and try to learn from
each other. Our ultimate goal is to please God and we should support our
beliefs with facts so that we can answer to our Creator on the Day of Judgment.

You have the right to be shocked when you read the information on our web
site. So much of Islam has changed since the time the Quran was revealed
to our Prophet Muhammad more than 1400 years ago. Just take a look at our
Muslim countries. Why are there so many differences between us Muslims, why
do we have to fight each other, why to we follow different sects (Sh'iite,
Sunnie etc.) when we all share the same Quran? The answer is that we have
slowly changed the pure Islam (which means Submission) into something that
is different. We have focused more on different Hadith which the Quran forbids
rather than reading the one scripture that was revealed to our Prophet and
following the one scripture that we all have in common, the Quran. Please
read these pages on our site;
http://www.submission.org/suras/app18.html
,
http://www.submission.org/suras/app19.html
.
http://www.submission.org/hadith/ .
You mentioned that we are trying to confuse muslims who have been brought
up in the right Islamic upbringing. God forbid that we try to convince or
confuse others about Islam. God is the One who guides. We provide verses
from the Quran to support all the information. Please refer to your Quran
when you read our information. We uphold only the Quran just as God has
instructed us. You are a muslim not because of your upbringing but because
of your own personal devotion, practice and understanding. I was born in
Iran and raised in a Muslim family. If I were to follow my parents blindly,
I would be visiting the shrines of saints and doing many other things that
have nothing to do with the pure Islam that is from the Quran. In 2:170 we
read "When they are told, 'Follow what God has revealed herein,' they say,
'We follow only what we found our parents doing.' What if their parents did
not understand, and were not guided? I call myself a Muslim not a Shiite
in accordance with the Quran (3:102-106 & 6:159 "Those who divide themselves
into sects do not belong with you...", & 21:92).
<I found many misleading information that I wont
go into now, but I would like to emphasize major ones that I personally find

the "Dress code for women", comparing your site with others I found they
had the right interpretation of the Quran verses that stated only the face

do you support your explanation that "God DELIBERATELY, said, tell them,
to lengthen their garments, and never said how long is long". Where you brought
up on this belief?? Cause I was not!>
Please show me where in the Quran you find the Arabic words that say lengthen
to the ankle. God mentions in 33:59 that the women should lengthen their
garments. If we translate this verse by adding the word ankle, then we are
creating a new law and we are saying that God's words are incomplete. God
is never short of words and He could have used the word ankle but He did
not. I think we have to try and understand the reasoning behind "lengthening"
the garments. In my opinion, the point is not to draw attention to yourself.
For some it may be lengthening to the ankle, others may be a few inches shorter
than the ankle but we can not say that God will condemn these people. God
knows our intention. Also, in 2:31 God does not use the words head, hair,
face or the hands. If you can show me where in the Quran God uses these words
to order the women to cover or uncover any of them, then I will agree with
you. In 2:31 God does use the word "cover". However, this verse says "cover
their chests" God could have added head and hair to this verse , but He did
not. We can not add words to God's revelations. God says in 24:30-31 that
the believing men and women should subdue their eyes. In my opinion, the
best garment is the garment of righteousness. If someone chooses to cover
themselves from head to toe that is up to them. If someone chooses to dress
modestly so that they do not draw attention to themselves then they should
not be criticized as long as they are doing their best to follow God's words.
It is very dangerous to start adding words to the Quran based on your personal
understanding. You can see the result of adding words and laws to the Quran.
For example, in my country, many women now cover their entire body in black
and only their eyes can be seen. The main point is that God wants us to maintain
righteousness and you can cover yourself from head to toe but still be
unrighteous underneath. That's why God uses the word "garment" and says that
the best garment is the garment of righteousness.
<This brings me to my second point, Fasting during
menstruation is permitted??!! Since when?! and handling and reading the Quran
also while menstruating?! Is this a new trend of the Millennium? >
Please show me from the Quran, where it says that we can not fast or handle
the Quran during menstruation. Please use the Quran as your only reference
and not the Hadith. Now, let me use some verses to explain this point. The
only verses that talk about menstruation are in 2:222, 2:228 and 65:4. God
says to avoid sexual intercourse during menstruation. You can not find any
word or reference to touching the Quran or fasting. According to God, one
of the worst things we can do is to make up a religious law and attribute
it to God (10;59-60, 16:116). Let's try to examine this point logically.
Out of His infinite mercy, God sends His commandments to us to help us worship
Him and strive to come closer to Him. God mentions that men and women are
equal as far as belief and worship (3:195). God invites us to fast and to
read the Quran so that we can fulfill our obligations and come closer and
closer to our Creator. Now, why would God create the women in such a way
that for several days out of each month, the women will not be allowed to
follow a commandment that God has given them. It's the same as someone giving
you a car and telling you to drive it but not allowing you to use the keys.
In this example, the car would be the Quran. God has given us the Quran and
encourages us to follow the laws. If women are not allowed to touch the Quran
or fast during several days of each month, then women are not equal to men
as far as their belief because the men have the unfair advantage of reading
the Quran more often. Again, our goal is to worship God as much as possible
and God would not create a law to prevent us from worshiping Him.
<I didn't find the music of Brian Adams "Anything
I do I do it for you" an appropriate background to have for an islamic site,so
as the attractive girl?! I am wondering what is your point behind this, is
it to give the impression that islam is cool?!, if so in my opinion there

their religion in THE proper way that we were brought up with and

I would be happy to hear any other suggestions that you have about attracting
people to learn about Islam. The reality of living in the Western world is
that teenagers are exposed to many things that are not in accordance to the
Quran. The point of adding a song or picture is not to say that Islam is
cool, but to say that Islam is a beautiful religion that encourages all to
worship God alone. The Brian Adams song says Anything I do, I do it for you.
In my mind, anything I do, I do it for God so the "you" in the song reminds
me of God. Another song that brings me closer to God is the one by Celine
Dion "Because you loved me" If you think of God as the "you" you will get
goose bumps when you hear the words. God bless you for your feedback. God
willing, we can use an open mind to reach a common understanding.
<Last but not least, even thought I am filled with
many questions that if I got into now I will never finish, As an Islamic

Subject: impressive!!!!!
AS SALAM WALAIKUM DEAR ADAM AND CHANCELLOR,
I LOGGED ON YOUR SITE AND I GOTTA SAY THAT IT
IS VERY INTERESTING AND REVEALING. I CONVERTED TO ISLAM FROM CHRISTIANITY
ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO. I HAVE LOOKING FOR A SITE ON THE WWW THAT GIVES EXTENSIVE
KNOWLEDGE ON ISLAM AND QURANIC MATERIAL AND IT SEEMS LIKE YOU GUYS ARE
IT!!!
I HAVE TO SAY THOUGH THAT YOUR SECTION ON HADITH AND
SUNNA AND ITS SATANIC INFLUENCE IS QUITE 'RADICAL'. ALL THE MUSLIMS
(GOD BLESS THEM) I HANG OUT WITH STICK TO BOTH THE SUNNA AND HADITHS VERY
CLOSELY. I AM VERY CONFUSED. MY QUESTION TO YOU FINE PEOPLE ARE,
DO YOU GUYS GET A LOT OF SLACK FOR IT? IT SEEMS LIKE A VERY TOUCHY
SUBJECT. ANYWAY GOD BLESS AND PLEASE, IN SHA ALLAH, ANSWER THIS
QUESTION.
SINCERELY,
M.K.
Peace be upon you M.K,
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. Most Muslims follow some
form of Hadith. In fact, much of the differences we see in the Muslim world
(Shiite, Sunni etc.) are a result of different sects following different
Hadith. These divisions and sects show you that something must be wrong with
following other sources besides the Quran. God mentions that the Quran is
complete, perfect, fully detailed and is the best Hadith. God also warns
us about dividing our religion into sects. We are all Submitters who have
received our religious practices from Abraham, long before the Hadith were
invented.
[6:159] Those who divide themselves into
sects do not belong with you. Their judgment rests with GOD,
then He will inform them of everything they had done.
[3:105] Do not be like those who became
divided and disputed, despite the clear
proofs that were given to them. For these have incurred a terrible retribution.
[30:32] (Do not fall in idol worship,) like those who
divide their religion into sects; each
party rejoicing with what they have.
[3:103] You shall hold fast to the rope of GOD, all of you, and
do not be divided....
[42:13] He decreed for you the same religion decreed for Noah, and what we
inspired to you, and what we decreed for Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: "You
shall uphold this one religion, and do not divide
it." The idol worshipers will greatly resent what you invite them
to do. GOD redeems to Himself whomever He wills; He guides to Himself only
those who totally submit.
Also check these files about Hadith;
http://www.submission.org/hadith/
Yes, we receive a lot of insults from traditional "muslims." If they could
put their traditions aside and open up their hearts and minds to the Quran,
the answers would be very clear. The fact that most Muslims follow Hadith
is confirmed in the Quran where God informs us that the majority of people
who worship God commit idol worship.
[12:103] Most people, no matter what you do, will not believe.
[12:106] The majority of those who believe in GOD do not do so without
committing idol worship.
This fact is repeated throughout history and is demonstrated through stories
we read in the Quran. How many people do you think believed in Jesus or Moses
when they preached a pure message of complete submission to God? Most people
felt their message was "radical" and they disbelieved, ridiculed and persecuted
the messengers. History is repeating itself. God bless you for being one
of the very few and fortunate who has an open mind and can filter falsehood
from truth.
[41:35] None can attain this except those who steadfastly persevere. None
can attain this except those who are extremely fortunate.

Dear Adam & Chancellor,

Subject: : Ashamed
Dear Adam and Chancellor,
As Salaam Wa Alaikum,
I have read the replies you gave to those asking how
to repent for sins. I have committed many sins of which I am very ashamed.
I am a 20 year old female who has experienced much pain and confusion in
my life. I am not saying this as an excuse for my actions, for I know that
I am responsible for my actions, but I turned away from religion just when
I should have clung to it the most.
Anyway, I have committed many sins a while ago, but
I still live in its nightmare, and I am not sure what I should do. I have
completely stopped any relations with men, and I have been trying to strengthen
my relationship with God. I cannot talk to anyone in my family about it because
my mother had told me that if she ever found out that I have "fooled around"
she would disown me, and I know she means it. I ask Allah to forgive me for
my sins every night, and I know that Allah is most merciful, and that inshaallah
he will forgive me, but what do I do from here? I want to get married,
inshaallah, and live on the straight path now, but is it too late?
Please help me, and guide me..
Thank you, God Bless You,
Ashamed
Peace be upon you "Ashamed",
Thank you for sharing your personal experience with me and for having the
courage to reach out for advice and support. We must realize that as human
beings, we are not perfect and we are always likely to make mistakes. God
tells us in the Quran that the human being is created weak and that we
transgress. God has given us examples in the Quran of great prophets who
committed sins. For example, Moses killed another person, Abraham asked
forgiveness for his father who worshiped idols and Jonah rebelled from carrying
out the mission he was given from God. God gives us these examples to show
us that we are not perfect. In every case, these prophets realized they had
made a mistake, asked for forgiveness from God, repented, and reformed so
that they would not commit the same sin again. In every case, these people
were forgiven because God is the Most Gracious and Most Merciful.
I can tell from your e-mail that you feel terrible about your action and
that you are sincere in trying to turn to God for forgiveness and support.
You are doing a great job and are following what God has invited you to do
in the Quran. When you commit a sin, you must first remember God, ask for
forgiveness, repent for your actions, and reform your behavior so that you
will not commit the same mistake again. I feel that you have done all these
things and now you need to have trust in God that He will forgive you. You
can not ask for forgiveness but then live with the feeling of guilt and misery
for the rest of your life. You must have faith in God's forgiveness. As we
read in 39:53, "Proclaim, O My servants who exceeded the limits, never despair
of God's mercy. For God forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, Most Merciful."
If you live with the feeling of guilt, then you are not trusting in
God and this feeling will not only hurt you emotionally but also spiritually.
God is so Merciful that He not only forgives your sins when you repent and
reform, but He also turns your sins into credits.
In 25:70 we read, "Exempted are those who repent, believe and lead a righteous
life. God transforms their sins into credits. God is Forgiver, Most Merciful."
The most beautiful thing you have done is to try and strengthen your relationship
with God. You can even view this event as a blessing in disguise because
if it did not happen, you would have gradually turned away from God. Now,
you have received your wake-up call and are devoting your worship and prayers
to God. You need to get on with your life and put the event behind you. It's
over and you can do nothing to change it. Focus your energy on doing the
things that will please God.
If you are afraid that your mom will disown you if you tell her, then I suggest
that you do not inform her. Your number one concern should be what will please
God. If your mom was someone who could understand and support you, then you
could talk about this subject with her. It seems that she is not capable
of hearing what happened and offering you support. You ask if it's too late
for you to get married and to live on the straight path. My answer to you
is, absolutely not. You are already living on the straight path which is
the greatest blessing that could have ever happend to you. Do not be worried
about getting married. God has planed your spouse for you. The most important
thing for you is to maintain your righteousness and find a spouse who is
a Submitter. God willing, you will meet someone who will admire you for your
faith in God and your righteousness. A strong and lasting relationship should
focus on the present and future, not the past. As long as you maintain your
righteousness and keep your faith in God strong, you will have nothing to
worry about nor will you grieve.

Subject: Loving a picture??
Hi : this is for adam and chancellor, you answered
one of my question about having a crush on a muslim girl but now I have another.
I have a picture of the girl who I'm in love with and her beauty makes me
want to see her picture over and over again but it does not stop me from
praying or from loving of allah or from reading the quran. Am I doing something
haram? Please answer my question quickly. Thank you
Signed: I'm back
Peace be upon you "I'm back",
Thank you for returning to our site. In my opinion, you are doing nothing
against the Quran by looking at the picture of a beautiful girl with whom
you are in love. I am assuming the picture is of her face and that you are
not fixing your thoughts on other areas that may stimulate sexual desire
since God informs us to subdue our eyes (24:30). I think it is beautiful
that you continue to keep your faith in God strong. My only concern for you
relates to a more personal level, rather than a religious one. As you can
already feel for yourself, love is a very powerful emotion that can occupy
a lot of your time, energy and thoughts. It is important that you have some
realistic idea of a future marriage with this person so that you can channel
your emotions in positive areas such as getting to know the person and developing
a strong bond of friendship that will lead to a successful marriage. Of course,
she should be someone who worships God alone and respects her religious
practices. If you are in love with this person but there is no likelihood
of a future relationship, you are draining valuable energy when you could
be using it in other places.
God bless you,

Subject: Boys and Girls??
Dear Adam & Chancellor,
I go to your website alot. I am glad there is a website
like yours to help Muslim Teens. I have a couple of question please answer
them.
I am 13 years old Muslim boy.
1. In Islam, are boys allowed to talk to girls of other
religions?
2. In Islam, am I allowed to have girls as friends?
3. Can I go to dances and just dance with girls that are my friends?
Thank You for your time please respond asap.
Peace To You
Sincerely.
Muslim Boy
Peace be upon you "Muslim Boy",
Thank you for visiting our site and for your kind words of encouragement.
I like your questions since there are a lot of misconceptions regarding these
issues. First, according to the Quran which is our only source of religious
guidance, you are allowed to speak with girls of other religions as long
as they do not attack or consistently criticize your religion (please see
Quranic verses number 2:62, 60:8-9, 41:33-34). Second, you are allowed to
have girls as friends as long as you maintain your purity and avoid physical
contact in a sexual manner (23:5-6). Finally, in my opinion, I do not see
anything wrong with you going to a dance and just dancing with girls that
are your friends.
Your intention is to have a good time with your friends (whether it is a
guy or a girl). However, if you go to a dance with a girl and your intention
is to dance with her in a manner that brings you emotional or sexual feelings,
then it would be advisable not to put yourself in that situation since it
may lead you to violate God's teachings in the Quran. If you are looking
for a good English translation of the Quran, I recommend the translation
by Dr. Rashad Khalifa. You can download this translation from our web site
at www.submission.org or you can purchase a copy from Amazon.com.

Subject: Bad thoughts.
|
|
Assalamalikum
I was wondering, when we get bad thoughts regarding
religion, or God, are they from the shaitan or from ourselves and do we get
sin for them?
Curious
Dear Curious,
Generally, bad thoughts come from your Jinn. Your (companion) Jinn is constantly whispering to you and trying to expose a weakness. It is not a sin to have a bad thought that suddenly comes to your mind. However, if you act on the thought, then you have committed a sin. For example, you may suddenly think that it would be better to skip your afternoon prayer and instead play with your friends longer. This thought alone is not a sin. If you skip your prayer, then you have acted on this thought and have gone against what God invites in the Quran.

Subject: Head cover question.
Dear Adam and Chancellor,
As I understood from reading your sight, it is not
necessary for women to cover their heads any time, even when they are going
to the mosque. But no matter what mosque I went to, after trying to
enter like that, I was told or signaled to cover my head. I would really
like to attend > congregational prayers every Friday, however I don't
feel comfortable pretending that I follow these rules when around those people
and then taking it off the minute I walk out of the mosque. Where can
I go? Is there a special place for people like me?>
Thanks,
Wondering
Dear "Wondering":
God bless you for following the truth that is in the Quran. Indeed,
you are correct that the majority of people are following innovations by covering their heads. God mentions in the Quran that the majority of people will not make the write decision and that you should not follow the majority.
Actually, one with God is the majority. The mosques that advocate head covering also preach teachings against the Quran. For example, they mention the name of Muhammad in their prayer even though our prayers belong to God alone. We need to respect the teachings of Muhammad which is contained in the 114 chapters of the Quran. I suggest you find another congregation to pray with. Even if it is just one other person, you will have what it takes to do a group prayer on Fridays. Please let me know which city you are from
and I will try to find you a group in your area, inshallah.
God bless you,

Subject: Do we have a choice?.
Dear Brother In Islam,
Assalam-o-Alaikum,
I am 17 year old girl, my parents have confused me
a great deal about fate, kismat or destination,
my mother says that destination is written by Allah. She says our brain is controlled by Allah and we act
according to the instructions of the brain. Whatever in our kismat we
start thinking, acting or doing like it. But my father says that a person
can make his own destination. Can you please
tell me what is fate, kismat, luck or destination?
Can you please shed some light on this subject and
tell me who is right and who is wrong?
Best Regards.
Peace be upon you,
Your destination is already recorded as far as God is concerned. God knows
exactly what you and I will be doing tomorrow or 50 years from now. However,
God does not control your brain or thoughts. God shows you His signs and
tries
to help you make the right decisions while Satan and your Jinn tries to pull
you away
from God's path. The decision is yours. You have the freedom to choose as
mentioned
in 33:72. God does not decide for you but He knows your decision before you
make it.

Dear Adam & Chancellor,

Subject: Music, Arabic, College, tampons and others.
Assalam Alykum!
First of all I am grateful that there is a site where
Muslim teens such as myself, can turn back to. Ever since I've found this
site I have learned many new things, and I would like to say May Allah Bless
you for all the things you have done. Keep it up! I have a couple of questions
and I'd appreciate it you would answer them. (the second question is geared
towards females.....)
1. I am wondering if there are any sites that you would
recommend that would help me learn Arabic? (I would like to be able to read
the Quran in the original version even though it is available in numerous
languages (alhamdulilah)
2. I was wondering is there anything wrong with using
tampons during a woman's period? Are pads better?
3. I am a right handed person and would like to right
with my left hand also. Is there anything wrong with doing that?? I'm asking
you this since through out my life I've been told that the right hand is
better, etc....but I was wondering aren't both hands created equal??
4. I am currently thinking about what I would like
to major in college. I'm interested in various things but so far Religion
and Music strike a special cord in my heart. Although I know that music is
not prohibited in Islam, how do I let others know (relatives, friends etc)
that there is nothing wrong with it?
Thank you so much for taking time out to answer my
questions.
I truly appreciate it. Shukran. Assalam Alykum
The Truthseeker

|
Dear Truthseeker;
Thank you for your words of encouragement for our web site. Regarding your
questions:
1. I do not know of any web sites where you can learn Arabic. You can try
doing a word search on Yahoo. Depending on where you live, there may be a
community college or university that offers classes in Arabic. As for reading
the Quran in Arabic, I would recommend that you read our article about this
subject. It is located at;
http://www.submission.org/satan-q.html
2. I have forwarded your second question to a gynecologist. The answer will
be posted in section two of Adam and Chancellor. Look for it there.
3. What you have been taught all your life regarding the left and right hand
is pure innovation and fabrication that has corrupted our beautiful religion
of Islam (Submission in English). All the guidance we need is contained in
the 114 chapters of the Quran. In 5:6 of the Quran, God mentions that He
does not wish to make our religion difficult for us. There is not difference
as far as God and religion is concerned regarding using the left or right
hand. God created the human being in the best design (95:4). This fabrication
comes from other sources such as Hadith or Sunna which God warns us not to
follow in the Quran. The reference that is made to right or left in the Quran
does not relate to the hands but is more of a symbolic or allegorical example
of where a disbeliever and believer will end up.
4. As far as music and Islam (Submission), you should be prepared to site
verses from the Quran to support your belief. Please see your section regarding
music.

God bless you,

Subject: i need your advice
Dear Adam and Chancellor,
I like your website alot. I go there alot. I have one
question why is it against Islam to go out with girls please dont get mad.
Peace Be To You.
Sincerely,
Just Wondering
Dear Just Wondering,
Please feel free to ask any question you like. You do not have to worry about
us getting mad or upset. Our goal is to use verses from the Quran to help
shed light on questions. We never said that it is against Islam to go out
with girls. You can have a female friend and enjoy her company by playing
sports with her, going to a movie, or talking. However, if you start dating
a girl and your intention is more than friendship, then you should be very
careful. In the Quran (23:5-6), God encourages us to maintain our chastity.
In my opinion, any other relationship with a girl outside of friendship should
be marriage or engagement. There is not in between. If you start dating a
girl with the intention of having a relationship other than friendship, then
you are setting yourself up for physical and intimate contact which can lead
to violating God's law.
God bless,

Dear Adam & Chancellor,
(36)
Subject: Prophet Abraham
Peace be upon you. I'm 12 yrs. old and in NY. Over
the years Islam's rules have been distorted, so I write to Islamic leaders,
scholars, read many versions of the Qur'an, and go to many websites. Your
site has been the most efficent and effective. I try to find out the truth
about Islam, about subjects such as Dogs, pets, and dancing, and singing,
and others. The Jews have had many prophets right or wrong? Christians have
had only one prophet right or wrong?. Before, I used to think that Abraham
(pbuh) was Jew, not a submitter, and that we only had one prophet. But according
to this site He was a submitter, so we really had two prophets right? Where
did Abraham (pbuh) originate from? Did Abraham (pbuh) have to read Sunnis?
Why do we have to? Which language did he speak? The essay on the Satanic
dream was very interesting. I have a question about Christians too. If Christ
(pbuh) did not come to create a new religion, then why was a new religion
started? My parents are Sunnis, but I don't really follow that. I just try
to find out the truth and practice that. Who builds the Dam to stop Gog and
Magog? I had a dream in which I tried out for a school named D. T. S., and
when my father, my sister, and I went to check my grades, to see if I got
in. When we went they looked over my scores I failed, but my sister who never
tried out, got accpeted! After that my father favored my sister and was angry
at me. What does all that mean?
Peace be upon you,
Thank you for your positive feedback regarding our web site. We try hard
to provide information from the only source of religious guidance that our
prophet left behind, the Quran. All muslims have the Quran in common. However,
we have many different sects in Islam (Shi'ite, Sunni etc.) because we chose
to follow other sources and traditions besides the Quran. Obviously, if all
muslims followed only the Quran, there would be less division. God mentions
in 3:103-105 that we should not divide our religion, the religion of Abraham,
Submission (Islam) (22:78).
You are correct that the Jews had many prophets. The term Christian as we
know it today relates to the time of Jesus. However, the Christians received
other prophets after Jesus. For example, the prophet Muhammad was sent by
God to all the people (Christians, Jews, converts etc.). Any Christian who
would follow the message of Muhammad, Submission to God alone, is a Muslim
(Submitter).
According to 2:135 of the Quran, Abraham was neither Jewish or Christian.
He was a monotheist Submitter. According to 22:78, Abraham was the original
messenger of Islam who brought all the religious practices that we perform
today (such as prayer, charity) I do not know exactly from where Abraham
originated or his original language. Regarding reading "Sunni", I assume
you mean Sunna or oral tradition. Abraham only read and preached what was
being revealed to him by God through the angel Gabriel. He did not read other
traditions. We should not follow Sunna. The Quran is all we need and God
encourages us to read the Quran from cover to cover. God warns us against
following any other source besides the Quran.
A new religion was started after Jesus because people started giving more
importance to Jesus as the human being rather than following his message
(5:116-7, chapter 19). This same pattern has been repeated throughout history
with almost ever other prophet and religion.
You should not follow any sect (Sunni, Shiite). You should follow the religion
of Abraham which is Submission. Stick with the Quran and devote your worship
practice only to God.
Regarding your last two questions, I do not know who will build the dam and
I do not know the significance of your dream. Sometimes, I wish someone could
tell me what my dreams mean as well.
God bless you,
Adam

Dear Adam & Chancellor,
(37)
Subject: too much emotions.
Dear Adam and Chancellor,
Some years back, my parents fought a lot. i kept praying
to allah and after 6 years my parents basically stopped fighting. Why did
allah help us like we wanted him to after 6 years??i went to junior high
school, where i felt stupid and left out. and for 1 year i was very depressed.i
was jealous of some muslim girl who got to wear whatever she wanted like
revelaing her chest, going out on dates with boys, yet she was very beautiful
and very smart. if she ever missed any homework it would of been okay but
if i did it would have been bad. i cried bascially everyday and whenver i
did smile or laugh those were not what i truly felt inside.
In the summer of 7th grade, i told my self that i ain't
gonna cry if i screwed up . i 'm gonna study , work hard and look and feel
beautiful . i kept telling myself i can do this. i am gonna make friends
, i am gonna get smart, because i kept believing in myself i made my dream
come true. and in the summer vacation i became intersted in japan. i kept
reading books and any other info on japan. i wanted to go there and be married
and mushy stuff like that. but becuase i kept believing in myself and my
country dream i made what i promised my self to become and do true! so how
did allah help me when i refused to ask for his help, but i promised myslef
and trusted myself to make my dream true?? will i get punisehd for not turning
to him?? and becuase i study japan will i get punished for standing up for
a country which i love?? it said in the quran that allah is our only guide
but sometimes the ppl we love guide us make us stronger with our emotions.
i aksed my teacher about not wearing the hijab she said that it was revealed
in the quran that hair is part of ur beauty. and besides wearing the hijab
makes u feel secure and look intelligent.
sincerley:
too much emotions
Dear "Too Much Emotions,"
Thank you for taking the time to share your emotions with me. You bring up
some very interesting points that I hope I can clarify using verses from
the Quran.
God encourages you to pray to Him as much as possible. Praying to God and
asking for help is a beautiful opportunity that God is giving you to remember
Him.
2:186 When my servants ask you about Me, I am always near. I answer their
prayers when they pray to Me. The people shall respond to Me and believe
in Me, in order to be guided.
You must remember that the main reason you were created is to worship God
and work hard to redeem your soul.
44:38-9 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and everything between
them, just to play. We created them for a specific purpose, but most of them
do not know
God has the power to answer all prayers. However, God knows what is best
for your soul. God knows that waiting for six years to answer your prayer
is best for your soul. You may not agree from your own opinion. But, God
knows best. perhaps during this six years you had the opportunity to turn
to God more and think about God more which made your soul a lot stronger.
Perhaps, the six years your parents were fighting was an opportunity for
them to come closer to God. Perhaps, if you and your parents were not
experiencing this difficult test, you would not remember God as much. What
matters most is that during this time you had a chance to come closer to
God. At the end of your life, you will have gained a lot more by worshiping
God during the six years. The following two verses help to explain my point:
17:11 The human being often prays for something that may hurt him, thinking
that he is praying for something good. The human being is impatient.
2:216 ...But you may dislike something which is good for you, and you may
like something which is bad for you. God knows while you do not know.
4:79 Anything good that happens to you is from God, and anything bad that
happens to you is from you.
It is very important for you to think about the reason why you were created.
That girl in your school who seems to have everything in the world is a big
loser in the end if she does not have God. If this girl compromises her faith
in God for the material things or if she takes her image more seriously that
her relationship with God, then she will be in very bad shape when she is
80 years old and waiting for her final days to come. Just imagine you are
at the end of your life. Does it matter how good looking you were or how
many boyfriends you had? What matters most is what you will say to your Creator
when you meet Him.
2:212 This worldly life is adorned in the eyes of the disbelievers, and they
ridicule those who believe. However, the righteous will be far above them
on the Day of Resurrection. God blesses whomever He wills, without limits.
Can you imagine being "far above" those who disbelieved on the Day of
Resurrection? Can you picture yourself being close to God for eternity instead
of feeling the burning pain of being away from God for eternity? That's the
trade you are making in this life. Of course, when you worship God, you will
also enjoy the blessings and happiness that God promises in this life. Your
priority should be to worship and please God. You will then see that everything
else will fall into place.
You say that you promised yourself that you will make your dream come true
and you did not pray to God for help. You have to realize that God is a big
part of making your dreams come true, even if you do not pray to Him. Who
is the One who gives you the hearing, eyes, and intelligence so that you
can go after your dreams? Who is the One who controls your heart beat, your
pulse, your every breath? God is the One who is pulling the strings back
stage. He invites you to pray to him willingly. God mentions in 3:83 that
everything is worshiping Him, willingly or unwillingly. Even if you refuse
to turn to God, your body is submitting to Him. God is so Merciful that He
still gives you what you need to go after your dreams. The only difference
is that if you do not worship God willingly, you will face a very very difficult
day when you have to explain your actions to your Creator. God may or may
not punish you in this life as a result of your decision to turn away from
Him. The one thing I know for certain is that you will feel a painful and
eternal punishment in the Hereafter if you turn away from God.
Regarding your country, it's o.k. to love your country as long as it does
not turn into an idol. For example, if you start compromising your belief
in God because of your love for your country, then you are idolizing your
country. Idol worship is the only unforgivable offense if maintained until
death.
God guides and supports you. This does not mean that someone else can't help
you or support you. However, God is the ultimate guide and the best supporter.
If you think that God can not help you or support you and then you turn to
someone else, then you have set up this person as an idol to rival with God.
Then, you are saying that God, the Almighty, Most Powerful, can not help
you and you need a human being to help you. You should be very careful about
not doing this
There is nothing in the Quran that says that women have to cover their heads.
This tradition is a fabrication. Please read the following link
http://www.submission.org/dress.html
God willing, you will reflect on some of these verses and turn to God for
guidance and support.
God bless you, |

Subject: Sixth Sense
Salam,
A non-muslim friend ask me about : how do islam look
at the pepole who have sixth sense, God alone know the future , what about
those pepole ?
I hope to recieve a reply from you soon
Tamer
Salam Tamer,
You are correct that God alone knows the future. However, God may choose
to inform His messengers regarding certain things related to the future.
This knowledge about the future is bestowed upon God's messengers and
is related to certain specific items, not about all future events. God does
communicate with us through inspiration, or from behind a barrier (like Moses),
or by sending a messenger (42:51). Perhaps, some knowledge of the future
may be acquired in this way. In my opinion, people who have a "sixth sense"
are not able to predict the future in a regular and consistent manner. They
may be correct once in a while, however, if you count all the times that
they did not predict the future correctly, then their sixth sense may appear
more like coincidence.
God bless you,

Subject: End of the World
Salaam,
My name is shams, i have a question about the end of
time. My mum always told me that as long as there are good hearted muslims
in the world then the end of time will not come. Is this True???
if so, is there a reason for there being only 280 years
of time left before judgement day???
Also I always ask my mum about heaven, hell and Judgment
day, i always ask her if Christians, Jews will go to hell as they are the
wrong religion. My mum always tells me God will not accept no religion but
Islam. But i always think to my self there are so many good people out there
who are doing good such as helping the needy, and they believe in only one
God but yet they are christians or jews. so the question i am asking you
is, will God send these people to hell because they are not Islam and not
following the right religion???
Please if you could email me back i really want to
know. Thank you
Shams G.
Peace be upon you Shams G.,
I enjoyed reading your question. According to the Quran, this world will
come to an end. God refers to this day as Day of Judgement, Day of Resurrection
(Chapter 75), Day of Decision, The Inevitable (Chapter 56), and Incontestable
(Chapter 69). This day is described in detail throughout the Quran. We know
that his world is temporary and that the Hereafter is far better and everlasting.
Heaven awaits those who have worshiped God alone. A good hearted muslim who
as worshiped God alone deserves to be in Heaven. God would not deprive these
good hearted muslims from Heaven by allowing this world to continue forever.
Only God knows the reason why the world will come to an end in less than
300 hundred years. In my opinion, it will take this much time for the rest
of those who committed the original sin to be born into this life so that
they can go through their test. Please see
http://www.submission.org/suras/app7.html
Your mom is correct that Islam (Submission) is the only religion that God
will accept (3:19). However, I need to clarify what this means. Just because
you call yourself a Muslim (Submitter) or you were born into an Islamic family
does not mean that you are guaranteed a ticket to Heaven. AND, it also does
not mean that everyone with a different name (Jews, Christians etc.) will
go to Hell just because of their label.
Islam (Sumission) is not just a label or a name. Islam (Submission) is a
practice and a way of life. Islam (Submission) is a religion which invites
a person to Submit completely to God alone. When a person Submits to God
alone, he or she is a Muslim. Muslim is simply an Arabic word that means
Submitter in English. You can be a Jewish Muslim, a Christian Muslim, a Muslim
Muslim etc. As long as you are a Submitter, you will have nothing to fear
nor will you grieve.
Quran (2:62)
Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the
converts; anyone who
(1) believes in God, and
(2) believes in the Last Day, and
(3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord.
They will have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
God bless you,

Subject: Feeling Isolated
Salaam:
I read your reply to "Wondering" #32 (subject:
Head cover question) and was inspired to write you and ask if there is a
group in Toronto or Mississauga, Canada.
I know how "Wondering" feels. I also feel very hypocritical
attending the mosques here, so much so that I stopped going completely. I
feel so isolated by being a submitter, I have no one that I can discuss or
relate to except very few friends who are very close to me. My other
friends think that I am crazy and has joined a "cult". They think that I worship Dr. Khalifa or something,
which is so far from the truth. So, if there is a group existing here in
Toronto / Mississauga I would love to participate with them. Please let me
know.
Thanks and God Bless,
Feeling Isolated
Dear "Feeling Isolated,"
Thank you for sharing your feelings. I can only image what it must feel like
to be alone. When I first read the Quran and decided to Submit to God, I
also faced a lonely journey. I was in college experiencing a time when
all my friends would go out to parties. I still remember cuddling up with
my Quran on a Friday or Saturday night and reading God's revelation while
hearing the loud festive voices of students in the streets as they walked
from party to party. I am so blessed that God strengthened my heart with
His words. My advise to you is to turn to your Quran as much as possible.
Pray to God and meditate. God has placed you in the situation you are in
now because He knows it is the best for you to grow your soul. You will find
healing and mercy in the Quran:
10:57 O people, enlightenment has come to you herein from your Lord, and
healing for anything that troubles your hears, and guidance, and mercy for
the believers.
22:15 If anyone thinks that God cannot support him in this life and in the
Hereafter, let him turn completely to (his Creator in) heaven, and sever
(his dependence on anyone else). He will then see that this plan eliminates
anything that bothers him.
One with God is a majority. At the right time, God will bless you with other
Submitters. Or, even better yet, you may bless someone else with God's purified
message.
Be patient with your other friends and lead by example. If they think you
have joined a "cult," ask them what they see that justifies their comment.
To be honest with you, when my mother first informed me about the
translation by Rashad Khalifa, I cautioned her against accepting what he
says. It was only after I read the Quran myself and witnessed the awesome
mathematical miracle that I Submitted to God.
I will forward your request to someone who may know of other Submitters
in Toronto.
God bless you,
Adam |

From this page, you can go to a special section of Dear Adam and Chancellor
that deals with some sexually oriented questions. It may not be suitable
to everyone to read. You may choose to read it in the presence of your family

are not allowed to read it at your age, it is not the end of the world, do
not worry about it. As we grow older we will have different problems and
questions. We will be very careful presenting these materials and as usual
we will only use the Quran as our guide and help for all the answers. Remember
