While Americans celebrate their Declaration of Independence on the
4th of July every year, we as Muslims(submitters in English) should
be celebrating the greatest book of all principles, the Quran,
every day of our life. We should learn what this
Declaration of Independence means to us as submitters.
The Declaration of Independence, approved by the CONTINENTAL CONGRESS
on July 4, 1776, is a statement of the principles that two days earlier had
led congress to vote for the Independence of the American colonies from Great
Britain. Thomas Jefferson was assigned the task of drafting the Declaration.
Almost 12 centuries after Quran, The Submitters' (Muslims) Holy book,
was presented to the world, the Declaration of Independence of the USA was
in reality no more than a discovery of all the major and basic principles
given in the Quran.
History is teaching us that when Thomas Jefferson wrote down the Declaration
of Independence, he was influenced by the natural rights theories of John
Locke. John Locke wrote "Just governments are founded on consent and are
designed solely to protect the people in their inherent rights to life, liberty,
and property."
WHAT A GREAT statement, because all of it comes from the Quran that was revealed
over a thousand years earlier.
In Quran, 3:159, God told Muhammed, and those who will follow him,
" ...and consult them (the people). Once
you make a decision, carry out your plan, and trust in God. God loves those
who trust Him."
In 42 :38 God is describing the qualities of the true
Muslims (Submitters in English),
"They respond to their Lord by observing the contact prayers (Salat).
Their affairs are decided after due CONSULTATION among themselves,
and from our provisions to them they give."
In 2:256:
" There shall be no compulsion in religion
: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way....",
6:151:
" Say, "Come let me tell you what your Lord has
really prohibited for you: You shall not set up idols besides Him. You shall
honor your parents. You shall not kill your children from fear of poverty
- we provide for you and for them. You shall not commit gross sins, obvious
or hidden. You shall not kill - GOD has made life sacred - except
in the course of justice. These are His commandments to you, that you may
understand."
4:7:
" men get a share of what the parents and the
relatives leave behind. The women too shall get a share of what the parents
and relatives leave behind. Whether it is a small or a large inheritance,
(the women must get) a definite share."
2:19:
"....Oppression is worse than murder...." .
These are the basic democratic principles that was discovered in
The
Declaration of Independence of the United States of America more than a
thousand years after God gave it to us in His book, the Quran. While the
true application of these principles to all the people of all colors
and races in the USA did not take place as it was supposed to be, we are
not arguing this point in this article at this time.
It is interesting to know that most of the so called Muslim
Countries failed to uphold these Quranic democratic principles. For
example, everybody in a Muslim country should have had the freedom to
believe in anything without any compulsion or oppression. God permits
all people of all religions to live freely in a true Muslim society, but
that is not what is happening. The Declaration of Independence of USA guaranteed
that basic Quranic principle.
God has given all those so called Muslim countries enough time to apply His
book (Quran), but they deserted the Quran, denied the basic life
principles to their people, took away the freedom to , think, speak, write,
move, work, worship, choose their leaders, make decisions concerning their
life and future ...etc , defying God's law. They established governments
based on dictatorship, that gave no place to the people to express themselves
or run their countries. They gave the wealth of these countries to a few
and left the rest of the people starving. They put aside God's Book (Quran)
and its laws and made their own man-made laws that is full of contradiction
to God's system. Therefore, God is fulfilling His promise in Sura Muhammed.
47:38
".......If you turn away, He (God) will substitute
other people in your place, and they will not be like you."
and in 70:40-41.
"I solemnly swear by the Lord of the easts and
the wests; we are able... to substitute better people in your place; we can
never be defeated."
We as Muslims (Submitters) should be proud of our perfect religion, and should
realize that Islam (submission) as a law and a way of life can be seen and
practiced in this Country, USA, freely, more than all these so called
Muslim Countries. We should be proud and honored that our Quranic principles
are being discovered by those who live outside Islam (Submission), because
they will realize one day that they are following Islam, and will realize
that Islam (Submission) has nothing to do with what is practiced by the so
called Muslim countries. They will learn to judge Islam (submission)
by what it stands for, not by what these (false) Muslims do.
