GOD raises those among you who believe,
and those who acquire knowledge to higher
ranks. GOD is fully Cognizant of
everything you do.
When we read the scripture carefully, we
notice the invitations that God sent for us
to explore and learn as in these verses:
[30:22] Among
His proofs are the creation
of the heavens and the earth, and the
variations in your languages and your colors.
In these, there are signs for the
knowledgeable.
[13:19] Is one who
recognizes that your Lord's revelations to you
are the truth equal to one who is blind?
Only those who possess intelligence will take
heed.
[3:190] In the
creation of the heavens and the earth, and the
alternation of night and day, there are signs
for those who possess intelligence.
There is an open invitation to all believers to
look at the creation of the universes to find
out how it is more awesome than the creation of
humans. It is an invitation to discover what
other creatures glorifying God in these
universes and explore the magnificent distant
heavens in the faraway universe.
Awesome Construction of the Universe
[40:57] The
creation of the heavens and the earth is even
more awesome than the creation of the human
being, but most people do not know.
[42:29] Among His
proofs is the creation of the
heavens and the earth, and
the creatures He spreads in them.
He is able to summon them, when He wills.
Everything Glorifies God
[17:44]
Glorifying Him are the seven universes, the
earth, and everyone in them.
There is nothing that does not
glorify Him, but you do not understand their
glorification. He is Clement, Forgiver.
Gaining knowledge about the construction of the
heavens and realizing the vast distances between
the galaxies, their constant motion in an
astonishing speed of 600 kilometer a second,
the divine power of gravity that keeps them
rotating in their orbits, might shed some light
on how those creatures glorify the Almighty.
Learning about the relation between energy,
mass, and
speed of light as in Einstein’s
theory, might explain how a day of God’s equals
a thousand of our years. When we find out that
time slows down when we travel in the speed of
light, we might understand how the angels climb
to Heaven in a day that equals fifty thousands
of our years and how fast they carry out His
commands..
[70:4] The angels,
with their reports, climb to Him in a day that
equals fifty thousand years.
[32:5] All matters
are controlled by Him from the heaven to the earth.
To Him, the day is equivalent to one thousand of
your years.
Knowledge helps augment our faith and enhance our
devotion to the best Creator. This is what believers
would gain when they learn about the birth and the
death of the stars, what makes them bright at such a
vast distances, the divine force that makes all the
heavenly bodies rotate in their orbits without
crashing to each other, what the light comes from
and what holds the sky without pillars from falling
on us.
By
acquiring some knowledge about the day, the night,
the sun, and the moon we will be more appreciative
of God’s mercy who precisely controls the chemical
reactions to produce the necessary photons with heat
and brightness. He placed the sun at the perfect
distance from earth, so we neither burn nor do we
freeze. Our glorious star has a core that is 20
thousand degree F hot, converting 400 million tons
of hydrogen to helium a second to produce photons
that make it a bright star..
[56:75] I swear by the positions
of the stars.
[56:76] This is an oath, if you only knew, that is
awesome.*
[56:77] This is an honorable Quran.
[13:2] GOD is the One
who raised the heavens without pillars that
you can see, then assumed all authority. He
committed the sun and the moon, each running
(in its orbit) for a predetermined period.
He controls all things, and explains the
revelations, that you may attain certainty about
meeting your Lord.
Learning about the galaxies, the stars, and the
planets will show us that mathematics not only play
significant role in the structure of the scripture,
but also controls the structure of the universe with
exact well-calculated distances. We appreciate how
the divine
gravitational forces hold all the
structures of the universe rotating in their orbits
according to precise mathematical laws.
[41:12] Thus, He* completed
the seven universes in two days, and set
up the laws for every universe.
And we* adorned the lowest universe with lamps, and
placed guards around it. Such is the design
of the Almighty, the Omniscient.
Increasing our knowledge about the countless numbers
of galaxies and the enormous distances between them
and how far they are from each other, might shed
some light on how big our universe is. The light
travels to us from our sun in about 8 minutes and
the sun is around 93
million miles away from planet earth -
this is how large our
Milkyway galaxy , only.
Knowing that the Andromeda, the closest galaxy to
earth is a
million light years away from us, the
light year is 6 trillion miles, and
the farthest galaxies are about 60 billion trillion
miles from earth which is 6 with 22 zeros, might
give us an idea about the enormous size of our
universe which is the innermost of the magnificent
seven universes - and all of them are folded in His
right hand. Then learning about the size of our
local universe and trying to imagine the size of the
outermost universe, might help us comprehend how
high the Most High could be.
[70:3] From GOD;
Possessor of the highest Height.
[39:67] They can
never fathom the greatness of GOD. The whole earth
is within His fist on the Day of Resurrection. In
fact, the universes are folded within His right
hand.* Be He glorified; He is much too high above
needing any partners.
[29:49] In fact,
these revelations are clear in the chests of
those who possess knowledge. Only the
wicked will disregard our revelations.
[34:6] It is evident to those who are
blessed with knowledge that this revelation from
your Lord to you is the truth, and that
it guides to the path of the Almighty, the Most
Praiseworthy.

Lord, You did not create all this in vain. Be
You glorified. Save us from the retribution of
Hell.
