In the name of freedom

We're all here on earth to use our second and final chance to be redeemed. The Most Gracious has granted us the absolute freedom to choose Him or Satan after presenting both paths through His messengers and scriptures.

               Freedom of Choice
[33:72]  We have offered the responsibility (freedom of choice) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were afraid of it. But the human being accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.*

[16:9]  GOD points out the paths, including the wrong ones. If He willed, He could have guided all of you.

[76:3]  We showed him the two paths, then he is either appreciative, or unappreciative.

Satan has been allowed to present his views to us and in the same time God teaches us in the Quran that Satan's promises are nothing but illusion.

[17:64]  "You may entice them with your voice, and mobilize all your forces and all your men against them, and share in their money and children, and promise them. Anything the devil promises is no more than an illusion."

According to God's laws in the Quran, we're free to choose either God or Satan and after making that choice, it is God who augments our guidance(19:76) or misguidance(2:10).

              Absolute Freedom of Religion
[18:29]  Proclaim: "This is the truth from your Lord," then whoever wills let him believe, and whoever wills let him disbelieve. We have prepared for the transgressors a fire that will completely surround them. When they scream for help, they will be given a liquid like concentrated acid that scalds the faces. What a miserable drink! What a miserable destiny!

As submitters and believers, we should always stay guarded and resort to God's infallible words in the Quran before falling into any of the devilish illusions that always appear so tempting and sounds so noble.

One of these devilish traps that we should all be aware of is Satan's call for the freedom of choice. He knows that we cherish this God-given gift, so he uses that as a very attractive wrapping paper to sell his cheap and misleading stands. While we, as believers, are obligated to hold fast to the rope of God and promote nothing but His path, Satan tries to entice us, in the noble name of freedom, to make room for other laws or to present some of his views mixed up with God's views. While we're commanded to uphold the absolute truth, he tries hard to make us confound the truth with falsehood, under the banner of tolerance. In the name of freedom, Satan wants his news to be on the front page mingled with the truth and written by those who are perceived as believers, while we, as believers, are supposed to make a clear distinction between both news. Satan doesn't want us to see the crucial difference between both paths. He doesn't like the separation. The clear contrast will expose him.. He would rather smoothly blend his poison with the truth, create a deceiving harmony, and confuse the majority by his illusion. He is able to justify all this to some of us using our passion and respect towards freedom. Those who listen to his ideas are indeed the devil's advocates.

In this respect, Quran has set for us very clear and strong criteria that we, believers, should uphold in order to be able to defeat Satan and nullify his tireless efforts of misleading us. He can never win this battle if we take God's commands and words honestly and seriously (15:40-42).

- We are to proclaim the truth and state, clearly, where we stand at all times even if we are in the minority.

[10:108]  Proclaim: "O people, the truth has come to you herein from your Lord. Whoever is guided is guided for his own good. And whoever goes astray, goes astray to his own detriment. I am not a guardian over you."

[6:51]  And preach with this (Quran) to those who reverence the summoning before their Lord - they have none beside Him as a Lord and Master, nor an intercessor - that they may attain salvation.

[5:100]  Proclaim: "The bad and the good are not the same, even if the abundance of the bad may impress you. You shall reverence GOD, (even if you are in the minority) O you who possess intelligence, that you may succeed."

[3:187]  GOD took a covenant from those who received the scripture: "You shall proclaim it to the people, and never conceal it." But they disregarded it behind their backs, and traded it away for a cheap price. What a miserable trade.

[109:1]  Say, "O you disbelievers. ......   .......
[109:6]  "To you is your religion, and to me is my religion."

- If we're embracing submission and claiming ourselves as believers, then, it's our obligation to invite people to one and ONLY ONE PATH, the path of God. In doing that, we're not trying to guide anybody(2:272) but rather claiming our responsibility for our utterances and actions.

             Submitters
[41:33]  Who can utter better words than one who invites to GOD, works righteousness, and says, "I am one of the submitters"?

[12:108]  Say, "This is my path: I invite to GOD, on the basis of a clear proof, and so do those who follow me. GOD be glorified. I am not an idol worshiper."

[28:87]  Nor shall you be diverted from GOD's revelations, after they have come to you, and invite the others to your Lord. And do not ever fall into idol worship.

[33:70]  O you who believe, reverence GOD and utter only the correct utterances.
[33:71]  He will then fix your works, and forgive your sins. Those who obey GOD and His messenger have triumphed a great triumph.

- We should advocate and promote righteousness.

[3:104]  Let there be a community of you who invite to what is good, advocate righteousness, and forbid evil. These are the winners.

     The Winners
[9:71]  The believing men and women are allies of one another. They advocate righteousness and forbid evil, they observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and they obey GOD and His messenger. These will be showered by GOD's mercy. GOD is Almighty, Most Wise.

- We should never confound the truth with evil and falsehood. In fact, our salvation lies on our truthfulness.

[3:71]  O followers of the scripture, why do you confound the truth with falsehood, and conceal the truth, knowingly?

[2:42]  Do not confound the truth with falsehood, nor shall you conceal the truth, knowingly.

[5:119]  GOD will proclaim, "This is a day when the truthful will be saved by their truthfulness." They have deserved gardens with flowing streams. They abide therein forever. GOD is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. This is the greatest triumph.

- We should never judge matters unless in the light and the context of the whole entire Quran. Different measures and laws are often decreed by God almighty in regard of a specific matter in many verses that are spread out in the Quran. Ignoring some of these teachings because of our ignorance often mislead us into making the wrong decisions, uttering the wrong judgments, and listening to Satan and his constituents.

[15:90]  We will deal with the dividers.
[15:91]  They accept the Quran only partially.
[15:92]  By your Lord, we will question them all,
[15:93]  about everything they have done.

[73:4] ....And read the Quran from cover to cover.

God Willing, we all stay guarded against the illusion promised by Satan and his servants.

[114:1]  Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of the people.
[114:2]  "The King of the people.
[114:3]  "The god of the people.
[114:4]  "From the evils of sneaky whisperers.
[114:5]  "Who whisper into the chests of the people.
[114:6]  "Be they of the jinns, or the people."

[23:97]  Say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the whispers of the devils.
[23:98]  "And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they come near me."

Peaceful Friday, salaam and God bless you.
