| Islam (Submission
to God in English) has many great lessons for our children. Many
of us have heard about or watched on TV the scenes of a place after
suicide bombing. Probably you heard about or have seen dead and injured
people, destroyed buses, cafes or Pizza parlors, market places, shopping
centers...etc. The bomb does not know the difference between a soldier, a
child, a mother, a grandpa or grandma. It is an awful and horrendous scene
that we all wish we never see or witness.
Islam as a religion
of love and peace totally disagrees with this kind of behaviour and condemn
this kind of action. You may hear people saying that our enemy is killing
our children and mothers as well and that is why we do like them. According
to Islam we should live up to Islam's highest moral standard not
to other people evil choices, and respect all the children, all the women,
all the elderly and all the people who are not in direct fight with us. We
are asked by God to offer them peace and protect them if we can, instead
of putting them in danger.. We should never lower our moral standard to the
standard of the people who fight us. Following God's law guarantee peace
and victory while breaking it, only guarantees more misery to all the parts
involved. In Islam (Submission), a war is between a military force
and anohter but never by attacking the innocent or civilian people as we
have witnessed many times recently.
Actually God commands
us NOT to commit suicide or destroy our lives. God in the Quran commands
us to protect our own lives and never do any act that endanger our
own lives or the lives of those around us..
Quran
I seek refuge in God from Satan the
rejected
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most
Merciful
[2:195] You shall spend in the cause of GOD;
do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction. You
shall be charitable; GOD loves the charitable.
[ 4:29] O you who believe, do not consume each
others' properties illicitly - only mutually acceptable transactions are
permitted. You shall not kill yourselves. GOD is Merciful towards
you.
God also wants us to
make peace with our neighbors and the people we know , even with our
enemies.
Quran
(8:61) "If they resort to peace, so shall you,
and put your trust in GOD. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient."
(7:199) "You shall resort to pardon, advocate
tolerance, and disregard the ignorant. "
(16:90)" GOD advocates justice, charity, and
regarding the relatives. And He forbids evil, vice, and transgression. He
enlightens you, that you may take heed. "
(49:13)"O people, we created you from the
same male and female, and rendered you distinct peoples and tribes, that
you may recognize one another. The best among you in the sight of GOD is
the most righteous. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant."
As children we can do
a great part in trying to help our country and our people. Start today, form
a club by young people you know and start a writing campaign. Write a nice
letter to other children around the world explaining what you like to happen
in your country and how you love to live in peace, honor, dignity and freedom
and ask them to help you by spreading the word in their own countries. Write
even to the children of those you believe they are the enemies, and you will
be surprised of how much understanding and love can start pouring from them
if they know you, feel you and feel your suffering. Write to all the children
of the world you can find. Write to all the Newspapers around the world,
all the Radio Stations and TV. If you do not know foreign languages, ask
your older brother or sister or your teachers to help you write such letters
and start your club. Keep the children's name on your list and exchange
information about your country, your town, your neighborhood, your
hobbies,....etc and about any problem that happens to you.
Do not cheer up for
seeing other children hurt or killed because you know this is against God's
teaching in Islam and the Quran. This suicide bombing that is directed
deliberately at innocent people is not from our religion , Islam, (Submission
to God), but it is from abusing our religion and following the wrong
path.
Do not lose hope and
keep the people always informed of your conditions and keep your good moral
standard high as God teaches you and this misery will come to an end.
