Both parents love their children so much, they would do everything possible
to make them happy. Many times your father would be working most of the day
while your mother is taking care of things in the house. In some families,
both the father and mother work. The family gets together later in the day.
In both cases, the parents are doing their best to make life easier and happier
for the children.
As you will find out and learn from the Quran , making more money does not
mean you will be happier. God is the One who gives happiness to the people
if they submit to Him, and follow His way and His religion. Some rich people
may be unhappy while some others who do not have as much money or wealth
will be happier and enjoying their life more. It all comes from obeying God
and following His book, the Quran.
In the Quran God tells us how to be good in this life and how to be happy
and content. God promised us happiness in this life and after this life if
we follow His easy and simple religion, submission to God alone. God is running
everything in this universe. He is the One who can make our life easy or
difficult. He is the One who can make things work for us or against us. He
is the only One we need to worship .
God made it easy for us by sending us books that detail for us how
to be successful in this life and after this life. God sent us several books,
for example the Torah for the Jews, the Gospel for the Christians and the
Quran for the the whole world. Some people in the past changed the
Torah and the Gospels to fit their own needs. This is against God's orders.
God preserved the Quran in its pure form because it is the final message
to all the humans.
In the Quran God gives us a lot of teachings. God knows what is best for
us and that is why He asked us to follow these teachings. One very important
teaching in the Quran is what the children should do with their parents.
God knows that the parents love and take care of their children by the nature
He created in them. God also knows that some of the children do not know
or realize what their parents are doing for them. God therefore asked the
children to be kind to their parents, respect them, help and support
them if they need their help. God also reminds the children that if their
parents are not believers to respect them but not to do like them. God will
be pleased with those who follow His Quran and will make their life
easier and happier.

I seek refuge in God from Satan the
rejected
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most
Merciful
[31:14]
We enjoined the human being to honor his parents.
His
mother bore him, and the load got heavier and heavier.
It
takes two years (of intensive care) until weaning.
You
shall be appreciative of Me, and of your parents.
To Me
is the ultimate destiny.
[46:15]
We enjoined the human being to honor his parents.
His
mother bore him arduously, gave birth to him arduously,
and took intimate care of him for thirty months.
When he
reaches maturity, and reaches the age of forty,
he
should say, "My Lord, direct me to appreciate the
blessings You have bestowed upon me and upon my
parents,
and to do the righteous works that please You. Let
my
children be righteous as well. I have repented to
You; I
am a submitter."
[46:16]
It is from these that we accept the righteous works,
and
overlook their sins. They have deserved Paradise.
This is
the truthful promise that is promised to them.
[46:17]
Then there is the one who says to his parents, "Woe
to
you; are you telling me that (after death) I will
come
back to life? How come those who died before us
never
come back?" The parents would cry for GOD's help
and say,
"Woe to you; please believe! GOD's promise is the
truth."
He would say, "Tales from the past!"
[46:18]
Such are the ones stamped as disbelievers among
every
generation of jinns and humans; they are losers.
[46:19]
They all attain the ranks they have deserved, in
accordance with their works. He will pay them for
their
works, without the least injustice.
[29:8]
We enjoined the human being to honor his parents.
But if
they try to force you to set up idols beside Me,
do not
obey them. To Me is your ultimate return, then I
will
inform you of everything you had done.
[4:36]
You shall worship GOD alone - do not associate anything
with Him. You shall regard the parents, the relatives,
the orphans, the poor, the related neighbor, the
unrelated neighbor, the close associate, the traveling
alien, and your servants. GOD does not like the
arrogant
show-offs.
[6:151]
Say, "Come let me tell you what your Lord has really
prohibited for you: You shall not set up idols besides
Him. You shall honor your parents. You shall not
kill
your children from fear of poverty - we provide
for you
and for them. You shall not commit gross sins, obvious
or
hidden. You shall not kill - GOD has made life sacred
-
except in the course of justice. These are His
commandments to you, that you may understand."
[17:23]
Your Lord has decreed that you shall not worship
except
Him, and your parents shall be honored. As long
as one or
both of them live, you shall never say to them,
"Uff"
(the slightest gesture of annoyance), nor shall
you shout
at them; you shall treat them amicably.
[17:24]
And lower for them the wings of humility, and kindness,
and say, "My Lord, have mercy on them, for they
have
raised me from infancy."
[2:83]
We made a covenant with the Children of Israel:
"You
shall not worship except GOD. You shall honor your
parents and regard the relatives, the orphans, and
the
poor. You shall treat the people amicably. You shall
observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the
obligatory charity (Zakat)." But you turned away,
except
a few of you, and you became averse.
[2:215]
They ask you about giving: say, "The charity you
give
shall go to the parents, the relatives, the orphans,
the
poor, and the traveling alien." Any good you do,
GOD is
fully aware thereof.
