Islam (Submission) Unveiled
February 27, 2003
Questions/Answers
(1) Where can we find Salat in the Quran, if we
do not use the books of Hadiths and Sunna?
You will find your answer at our page;
http://www.submission.org/salat-where.html
You should also know that NO Muslim learned Salat by reading Hadith
books. Ask all the Muslim you know. You can even make the experiment yourself.
Give the Hadith books to a new convert and tell him/her to read them and
come out with "how to do Salat and how many Rakaat in them? and what time
to do Salat?. No new or old convert can ever do that. It is a simple experiment
but will teach you a lot.
(2)
It appears that followers of
Islam promote fighting in the cause of God, What does that mean ?
God in the Quran advocates certain basics that guarantee happiness for the
people in this life (and the Hereafter), e.g. equality of all
human beings, the freedom to believe or not to believe, the freedom
of expression, the freedom to travel, the freedom of commerce
and personal ownership. God is against oppression and aggression,
and advocates peace over war. God calls on us
to respect human life and treat
each other amicably, take care of the poor
and needy, respect of all living beings whether a human, an animal or
a plant, etc.
Fighting in the cause of God means making special effort in upholding these
beautiful teachings of God in the Quran. Fighting here does not necessarily
mean fighting a battle with a gun or a sword. God teaches us
to do our best to spare the life
of people, not to kill them and to resort
to peace whenever we can even at time of war.
Killing innocent people and
destroying properties cannot and are
not in the cause of God but rather against all
the teachings of God in the Quran. A pen that writes
to fight environmental corruption by killing the whales or cutting too many
trees, or fishing a rare species, or contaminating our water sources, is
a pen fighting in the cause of God. All peaceful means should be used
whenever possible. If you get aggressed upon or oppressed, then you have
the right to stand for your right starting with peaceful means but going
all the way to what ever necessary to remove this oppression and fight
this aggression, but not to aggress beyond the limits.
Other examples of the fight in the cause of God are the firefighters, police
officers and volunteers who work hard trying to save victims of accidents
or crimes. Doctors who go to epidemic areas to treat sick or poor people.
Nurses who spend nights taking care of sick people who cannot move out of
bed. People who volunteer to help saving our environment, or take care of
abused children or less fortunate mentally retarded people. Those who volunteer
and travel to far away land to help the needy, educate and feed them.
Intellectuals who stand for the truth, defend the morals of the community
and defend the helpless using their writings, speeches or social position...etc.
[103:1-3] By the afternoon. The human being is utterly lost. Except those
who believe and lead a righteous life, and exhort one another to uphold the
truth, and exhort one another to be steadfast.
[3:104] Let there be a community of you who invite
to what is good, advocate righteousness, and FORBID EVIL. These are the
winners.
[Quran 5:87] ... and do not aggress; GOD dislikes the
aggressors.
[Quran: 7:199] ......You shall resort to pardon, advocate
tolerance, and disregard the ignorant.
[Quran 8:61]"If they resort to peace, so shall you,
and put your trust in GOD. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient."
[Quran 4:90]"...... Therefore, if they leave you alone,
refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then GOD gives you no excuse
to fight them."
(3) What is the relevance of extracting
the number 19 from the Quran? How does this mathematical game contribute
to teaching of righteousness.?
God explained this clearly in the Quran in 74:31
[74:31] We appointed angels to be guardians of Hell,
and we assigned their number (19) (1) to disturb the disbelievers,
(2) to convince the Christians and Jews (that this is a divine scripture),
(3) to strengthen the faith of the faithful, (4) to remove all traces of
doubt from the hearts of Christians, Jews, as well as the believers, and
(5) to expose those who harbor doubt in their hearts, and the disbelievers;
they will say, "What did GOD mean by this allegory?" GOD thus sends astray
whomever He wills, and guides whomever He wills. None knows the soldiers
of your Lord except He. This is a reminder for the people.
If the miracle will strengthen the faith of the faithful, it will give them
more energy to be more righteous and make every promise in the Quran come
to be a reality in their daily life. The miracle is but a motive to
study the Quran carefully and ponder on its great meanings knowing for sure
that it is God speaking to us. This will put you on the right path
and make you race towards righteousness. You cannot dwell on the miracle
and forget the message (Quran).
[2:148]
you shall race towards
RIGHTEOUSNESS
.
(4)If men and women are equal in
Islam, why does it take two women to equal one man?
This is not the law in Islam (Submission). This rule applies only in Financial
transactions where men and women are involved.
[2:282]
Two men shall serve as witnesses;
if not two men, then a man and two women whose testimony is acceptable to
all. Thus, if one woman becomes biased, the other will remind
her
.
In other situations, Quran makes the woman is as equal to the man, and
sometimes her testimony by herself is higher in value than the man as in
case of adultery.
(5) Why is the only miracle in
the Quran mathematical? What about its linguistic miracle? Why do you feel
the need to justify the Quran scientifically?
Quran's miracle is not ONLY mathematical. Quran is a miracle in its own right
literally. It is one of the most beautiful Arabic book ever written. While
mathematics is an exact sign, e.g. 2+2 = 4, comparing literal work is subject
to other factors that can be biased. God therefore swears by that great miracle
of mathematics as no one can be biased in accepting 2+2=4
[74:32] Absolutely, (I swear)
by the moon.
[74:33] And the night as it passes.
[74:34] And the morning as it shines.
One of the Great Miracles
[74:35] This is one of the great miracles.
( 74:35---7+4+3+5
=19)
[74:36] A warning to the human race.
[74:37] For those among you who wish to advance, or regress.
(6) The occurrence of the prime
number 19 is interesting but since we have never actually had the Koran in
the form that Muhammad dictated it, but rather as it was got down in writing
some years later, I wonder at the relevance of the number. Can you comment
on this.
Quran was written immediately as it was revealed. When prophet Muhammad died,
he had the whole Quran written down, but not collected in one book. You are
confusing the collection of these writings in one book which was done later
with the actual writing of the Quran which was done at the time of its
revelation.
(7) It was mentioned that the Hadith
and Sunna are not valid or true, but how can you receive these texts that
were transmitted through chain of transmission just as the Quran was first
orally memorized and then written down later? Both Hadith and Quran are
transmitted by human beings. Please explain.
Quran was written immediately as it was revealed and also memorized. Hadith
books were not permitted to be written by the prophet and the so-called "The
Four Guided Khalifas" who followed him. They were written about 200 years after the prophet's
death. God promised to preserve the Quran but NEVER promised to preserve
any man made Hadith, see 15:9 Please study this page on Hadith on our web
site;
http://www.submission.org/had-corruption.html
(8) I think 2/3 of the Quran is
stories, stories of prophets. Do you believe all these stories are real ?
For example, the story of the creation (Adam)? It is obvious some of these
stores cannot be real according to science. How do you justify these
?
First, science so far is only having theories not facts/ A theory is not
a proof but a suggestion. The stories in the Quran has been proved true b
proving that the Quran is the actual words of God through the mathematical
miracle of the Quran. This proof was important for those who need a proof
that these stories are true and the true words of God. Do I believe these
stories, Yes I do and I have my proof, the mathematical miracle.

(9)Verses in the Quran are basically
two kinds:
1-some general issues.
2-Some exact instruction for daily issues. The second part is subject to
change of course according to time and places. Do you think a Muslim can
behave different from the later?
You are referring to 3:7. The second kind of verses are written in this manner
deliberately as our society change from century to century and even from
one continent to another in the same century. A Muslim is to behave within
the limits given in the Quran while the details of such behavior will vary
according to where and when he/she lives.
(10) Don't you think it is a strong
blatant statement to say that all Hadith are lies and help to oppress women?
In the books of Hadith, did not the prophet say "I was made to love 3 things,
women, perfume and the coolness of my eyes during prayers". And did not he
also say, "The most perfect in faith among believers is the he who is best
in manner and kindness to his wife??
You may get a good understanding of what is the position of Quran on Hadiths
and Sunna if you read our page at;
http://www.submission.org/had-corruption.html
Hadith is only a source for information about the history of that time
but cannot be used for religious law according to the Quran. Every written
history is corrupted by who is in power when it is written. History is nothing
more than his-story.
(11) Why not just lead a righteous
life enough to receive recompense?
God Almighty gives us the minimum criteria in the Quran
for succeeding in the Hereafter.
[2:62 and 5:69]:
"Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, the converts;
anyone who (1) believes in God, and (2) believes in the Hereafter, and (3)
leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord; they
have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve."
Leading a righteous life is part of the formula, and God defines righteousness
for us in 2:177,
"Righteousness is not turning your faces towards the
east or the west. Righteous are those who believe in GOD, the Last Day, the
angels, the scripture, and the prophets; and they give the money, cheerfully,
to the relatives, the orphans, the needy, the traveling alien, the beggars,
and to free the slaves; and they observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and
give the obligatory charity (Zakat); and they keep their word whenever they
make a promise; and they steadfastly persevere in the face of persecution,
hardship, and war. These are the truthful; these are the righteous."
Thus, according to God's definition, a righteous person would also believe
in God and the Hereafter, and such a person is guaranteed recompense from
the Most Merciful, God.
(12) Why would you call God, a
him ? Why not a male and female?
In the Arabic language, "he" and "she" do not necessarily imply natural gender.
Thus, when "He" is used in reference to God, it does not imply gender at
all. God be glorified; He is neither male, nor female. "He" can be used in
the English language to refer to anyone and not just male. Please, check
the Webster's College Dictionary, which gives the following definition for
"he:" 2. anyone (without reference to sex); that person.
(13) The God of Christianity is
a loving God. However, I have heard the God of Islam is unforgiving. Please
explain.
This is certainly not true. God of Islam is the same as the God of Christianity;
there is no other God besides the one and only God, our Creator. The Quran
describes God as the Most Gracious, Most Merciful, Forgiver, etc. Here are
just a few verses from the Quran that demonstrate my point. There are
many more!
[4:110] "Anyone who commits evil, or wrongs his soul,
then implores GOD for forgiveness, will find GOD Forgiving, Most
Merciful."
[5:98] "Know that GOD is strict in enforcing retribution,
and that GOD is Forgiving, Most Merciful."
[6:54] "When those who believe in our revelations come
to you, you shall say, 'Salamun `Alaykum (Peace be upon you). Your Lord has
decreed that mercy is His attribute. Thus, anyone among you who commits a
transgression out of ignorance, and repents thereafter and reforms, then
He is Forgiving, Most Merciful.'"
[20:82] "I am surely Forgiving for those who repent,
believe, lead a righteous life, and steadfastly remain guided."
[22:60] "It is decreed that if one avenges an injustice
that was inflicted upon him, equitably, then he is persecuted because of
this, GOD will surely support him. GOD is Pardoner, Forgiving."
[35:28] "Also, the people, the animals, and the livestock
come in various colors. This is why the people who truly reverence GOD are
those who are knowledgeable. GOD is Almighty, Forgiving."
[35:30] "He will recompense them generously, and will
multiply His blessings upon them. He is Forgiving, Appreciative."
[35:41] "GOD is the One who holds the heavens and the
earth, lest they vanish. If anyone else is to hold them, they will most certainly
vanish. He is Clement, Forgiving."
[85:14] "And He is the Forgiving, Most Kind."
[2:173] "He only prohibits for you the eating of animals
that die of themselves (without human interference), blood, the meat of pigs,
and animals dedicated to other than GOD. If one is forced (to eat these),
without being malicious or deliberate, he incurs no sin. GOD is Forgiver,
Most Merciful."
[2:182] "If one sees gross injustice or bias on the
part of a testator, and takes corrective action to restore justice to the
will, he commits no sin. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful."
For every sin a human being commits, God, according to Quran, charges
him/her for one sin, unless he/she repents and reforms then God would wipe
it out and even changes it into a credit. For every good deed, God would
reward you many folds from 10 to 700 times. How more Merciful and loving,
can God be ?
(14) How does Islam view other
religions? Does it claim to be superior or equal to other religions, such
as Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism....etc?
Islam (Submission in English) refers to a description rather than an organized
religion. Therefore, there are submitters to God alone in all faiths,
Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, and Islam. Quran confirms that there
is ONLY one religion although people gave it different names. The ONLY and
ONE religion is submission to God alone. God sets the minimum criteria
to succeeding in the Hereafter in 2:62 and 5:69:
"Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the
Christians, the converts; anyone who (1) believes in God, and (2) believes
in the Hereafter, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense
from their Lord; they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve." Furthermore,
Submission does not claim superiority as the ultimate judgment is left to
Almighty:
[22:17] "Those who believe, those who are Jewish, the converts, the Christians,
the Zoroastrians, and the idol worshipers, GOD is the One who will judge
among them on the Day of Resurrection. GOD witnesses all things."
(15) Why do you only have 4
pillars, what about the Shahada ? (Your web site only sites 4).
There may have been a mix up here. Our site clearly reports all the
pillars of Islam (Submission), including Shahada (testimony of faith), Salat
(Contact Prayers), fasting, Zakat (Obligatory charity) and Hajj (Pilgrimage)
for those who can afford it. You can read about Shahada at any of these
pages on our site;
http://www.submission.org/SP/SEP02.html
http://www.submission.org/download-2.html#La
http://www.submission.org/true-shahada.html
The correct Shahada is the first pillar (commandment) in Submission (Islam),
and it is stated clearly on our web site and in the Quran,
"GOD bears witness that there is no god except He,
and so do the angels and those who possess knowledge. Truthfully and equitably,
He is the absolute god; there is no god but He, the Almighty, Most Wise."
[3:18]
Therefore, the most important commandment in Submission is
"La Elaha Ella Allah," "There is no god besides GOD."
(16) Do the submitters believe
in the Sharia (Islamic law) and that the ideal society is one under Islamic
law and Islamic rule, if followed correctly?
There is ONLY one law in Islam (Submission) and that law comes ONLY from
God (Quran). All the additional laws are man made and are unacceptable as
God commanded us in the Quran. The ideal society lives by the laws of the
Quran because Quran guarantees the freedom of all the people and does not
force itself on any one. There is no compulsion in religion. Please see;
http://www.submission.org/islam/freedom3.html
"Shall I seek other than GOD as a source of law, when
He has revealed to you this book >FULLY DETAILED? Those who received the
scripture recognize that it has been revealed from your Lord, truthfully.
You shall not harbor any doubt.
The word of your Lord is COMPLETE, in truth and justice.
Nothing shall abrogate His words. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient."
[6:114-115]
"The day will come when we will raise from every community
a witness from among them, and bring you as the witness of these people.
We have revealed to you this book to provide EXPLANATIONS FOR EVERYTHING,
and guidance, and mercy and good news for the submitters." 16:89
"In their history, there is a lesson for those who
possess intelligence. This is not fabricated Hadith; this (Quran) confirms
all previous scriptures, provides the DETAILS of EVERYTHING, and is a beacon
and mercy for those who BELIEVE." 12:111
(17) In the past year, we have
seen people who in the name of Islam, have hurt many people and created many
misconceptions. Don't you think it is wrong that you are calling yourselves
practices of Islam and yet you have changed the Quran by removing verses
, 9:128-129, created your own messenger and eliminating the first
pillar?
You have been misinformed and need to study these issues in details. First
pillar is the Shahada and you can read the reply to question number
15 above. No one can eliminate Shahada but the corrupted Muslims changed
the Shahada of God as seen in 3:18 to their own man made Shahada , made by
Abu Hurayra. They took the words of Abu Hurayra over the sacred words of
God in the Quran. As for verses 9:128-129, they have been known for 1400
years to be suspicious to be NOT from the Quran and reported as such in all
the books of history of Islam. After the revelation of the mathematical miracle
of the Quran, it was proven beyond doubt that these two verses were never
part of the Quran. Please read about these two verses in detail at;
http://www.submission.org/tampering.html
As for the messenger issue, you need to know that messengers need to have
proof of their messengership and Dr. Khalifa presented tens of proofs of
him being the messenger of the covenant prophesied in 3:81. This does not
mean everyone will believe in him, since there are more people in this world
who do not even believe in God despite all the proofs HE has for us
and more people who never believed in prophet Muhammad. You can
read about the messenger of the covenant and the proofs at;
http://www.submission.org/AP02.htm
(18) As Muslims, we believe in
the Holy Prophet and Religions. What does Islam say about Jesus being the
son of God?
Quran absolutely denies that God has any son, specially Jesus.
[112:1-4] Proclaim, "He is the One and only GOD. The
Absolute GOD. Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten. None equals Him."
See, Jesus in the Quran at;
http://www.submission.org/suras/app22.html
(19) Why would not a man be biased
, if there is a woman he could marry? Would this situation change to
two male and one woman witness?
A man could be biased if there is a woman he could marry, that is why the
other woman will stand to tell the truth. If the situation change to two
males and one woman, it could, but God chose the other order, a man and two
women. Had God's plan been, two men and a woman, the complain would have
been, a man is being treated as half of a woman. God is the most Cognizant
and He knows how to set the laws. The Creator who set the laws for this
universe, is capable to set a law of a financial transaction between humans
in the best possible way.
(20) What is "man-mad dogma"
? do you refer to that Muslims make up?
The man made dogma referred to in the lecture is the image given to Islam
by the unrighteous behavior of most of the Muslim communities around the
world. We cannot judge Islam by what the Muslims do, we can judge Islam
(Submission) by what Islam teaches. The Muslims around the world have not
been following the word of God in the Quran and have been suffering the
consequences of that behavior in getting to be the poorest, least developed,
least civilized, and least respected countries around the world. They have
been defeated continuously despite God's promise to grant victory to the
"BELIEVERS". They are no believers. Please see our article at;
http://www.submission.org/islam/defeat.html
(21) What movements have organized
to reform the institutions and cultures not following the prescriptions of
the Quran?
Sadly, only few groups have done that and almost all of hem are not
organized. Even the submitters, like us, we have a huge number of followers
around the world, but we do not consider organization a necessity at this
time. We believe the followers of the Quran as they grow in number will be
able by their mere presence of changing the corruption seen in the traditional
Islam around them. Raising the awareness of the world about the correct Islam
(Submission) and its peaceful teachings will create the right atmosphere
for tolerance, mutual understanding and respect to all people of all religions.
This is the basics of a world wide peace.
(22) Why are we responsible for
our actions when it was God's choice to create us?
Good question. First you need to understand why are we created, after that
you will understand the answer for your question. First read about why are
we created at;
http://www.submission.org/islam/faq6.html
, then you will know.
After our creation God gave the human beings the choice of being totally
free on their own or totally obedient to His laws and we chose to be totally
free. Because we chose the freedom, we have to carry out the responsibility
that comes with it.
[33:72] We have offered the responsibility (freedom
of choice) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused
to bear it, and were afraid of it. But the human being accepted it; he was
transgressing, ignorant.
(23) Doesn't the Quran treat slavery
as an acceptable institution in society (as does the Bible)? Can a righteous
person own another person?
Quran does not treat slavery as an acceptable institution in society. Please
see our full article about slavery in Islam at;
http://www.submission.org/islam/slavery.html
A righteous person cannot own another person.
(24) Do you imply that those who
believe in the trinity of God, if they believe in God's existence and the
Hereafter are recompensated in the after life?
Absolutely not. Trinity is against all the teachings of all God's religions.
It is a man made corruption. It is an unforgivable sin, to commit idol-worship
which is what trinity is.. We were talking about Christians who believe in
ONE God, believe in the Hereafter and lead a righteous life.
(25) What is your reply to Islam
repeatedly putting to death the "converts" ?
Islam (submission) does not put converts to death, but those who corrupted
Islam do. Islam calls for complete freedom of choice including the freedom
to believe or NOT to believe. What some of the so called
"Islamic countries" do by putting converts to death is against the basic
teachings of the Quran and Islam.
http://www.submission.org/islam/freedom3.html
[2:256] There shall be no compulsion in religion: the
right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil
and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks.
GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.
[67:13] Whether you keep your utterances secret, or
declare them, He is fully aware of the innermost thoughts.
[18:29] Proclaim: "This is the truth from your Lord,"
then whoever wills let him believe, and whoever wills let him
disbelieve.
(26) Usury, is it only High interest
rates , how high?
Usury is defined in the Quran as charging many folds.
[3:130] O you who believe, you shall not take usury,
compounded over and over. Observe GOD, that you may succeed.
See our article about usury at;
http://www.submission.org/islam/usury.html
(27) Is it not true that your
group believes all hadiths books are fabricated ? If so, then you do differ
than the majority of Muslims who believe that the Sunnah is the second most
important source of Islamic law. Please comment .
It does not matter what anyone thinks or believes if God said HIS word. God
is the one who condemns all Hadiths but the Quran. Majority of Muslims cannot
change or abrogate what God commands. If the majority disagree with the Quran,
it is very much like the majority of Christians believing Jesus
is son of God. it does not make the majority right.
Please see,
http://www.submission.org/had-corruption.html
and
http://www.submission.org/qhi.html
"Have they not looked at the dominion of the heavens
and the earth, and all the things God has created? Does it ever occur to
them that the end of their life may be near? Which HADITH, besides this (Quran)
do they believe in?" 7:185
"God has revealed herein the BEST HADITH; a book that
is consistent and points out both ways (to heaven and hell). The skins of
those who reverence their Lord cringe therefrom, then their skins and their
hearts soften up for God's message. Such is God's guidance; he bestows it
upon whomever He wills. As for those sent astray by God, nothing can guide
them." 39:23
"These are God's revelations (Quran) that we recite
to you truthfully. In which HADITH other than God and His revelations do
they believe?" 45:6
"Let them produce a HADITH like this (Quran) if they
are truthful." 52:34
"Which HADITH other than this do they uphold?" 77:50
(28) I have heard of a similar
code in the Bible. Isn't this structure you are talking about in the Quran
just simple numerology?
The Bible code is very different than the Quran code and is not miraculous
since the code was found in other regular books. Please see this page
for details;
http://www.submission.org/miracle/bible_code.html
Numerology is very different than mathematics. Quran has a mathematical miracle
(Structure) not a numerological phenomenon You may like to check the
meaning of numerology in a dictionary then study the mathematical
miracle of the Quran to know the difference.

(29) Why would a merciful
God condemn a person to infinite suffering in Hell for a finite life of sin?
Quran explained the answer very well by clarifying for us that God created
us with the complete freedom to choose. God does not force us to believe
or not to believe. We can do anything we want. God's scriptures are
sent as a guide and a map for those who would like to follow it. In
His scripture he tells us about the two paths, the path to eternal Heaven
and the path to eternal Hell and then leaves it up to us to choose. Therefore
according to the Quran, God does not condemn anyone to Hell, but
those who go to Hell do those by their choice, they go there freely. God,
out of His mercy, did not spare a word to warn us from taking the wrong path
and warn us from the misery and suffering that comes at the end of that path.
He however did not interfere with our freedom to choose since we asked for
it.
[33:72] We have offered the responsibility (freedom
of choice) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused
to bear it, and were afraid of it. But the human being accepted it; he was
transgressing, ignorant.
[3:117] The example of their accomplishments in this
life is like a violent wind that hits the harvest of people who have WRONGED
their souls, and wipes it out. GOD never WRONGED them; it is they who WRONGED
themselves.
[43:76] It is not us who WRONGED them; it is they who
WRONGED their own souls.
(30) If pork is clean now, does
the Quran condone its consumption?
Pork can be clean but the idea behind it is the same like the forbidden tree
in Heaven, when God told Adam, you can enjoy these billion trees in Heaven
but do not eat from this one, HE was putting him to a test. Pork is just
a test for the believers to see if we leave the other millions of food
items and disobey God and eat the pork. God, the Most Merciful , however
allowed us to eat pork if our life is in danger because it is the only
food available to us. Here God is telling us that pork by itself is
not bad, but the command not to eat pork has far reaching meaning than
just eating a kind of meat.
(31) How is this science you speak
of in the Quran, supposed to help you in your faith or understanding of God?
Quran is a numerically structured book. Mathematics is a pure science. In
other words 2+2=4 requires verification and not "belief". For the atheist
this proves that Quran is the word of God and therefore the presence of God
is verified "scientifically" or "physically".
For the believers, it increases the faith of the faithful. Therefore, there
is progression in righteousness by following the Quran alone. Believers are
to compete in matters of righteousness.
[74:31] We appointed angels to be guardians of Hell,
and we assigned their number (19) (1) to disturb the disbelievers,
(2) to convince the Christians and Jews (that this is a divine scripture),
(3) to strengthen the faith of the faithful, (4) to remove all traces of
doubt from the hearts of Christians, Jews, as well as the believers, and
(5) to expose those who harbor doubt in their hearts, and the disbelievers;
they will say, "What did GOD mean by this allegory?" GOD thus sends astray
whomever He wills, and guides whomever He wills. None knows the soldiers
of your Lord except He. This is a reminder for the people.
Quran: The Ultimate Reference
[5:48] Then we revealed to you this scripture, truthfully,
confirming previous scriptures, and superseding them. You shall rule among
them in accordance with GOD's revelations, and do not follow their wishes
if they differ from the truth that came to you. For each of you, we have
decreed laws and different rites. Had GOD willed, He could have made you
one congregation. But He thus puts you to the test through the revelations
He has given each of you. You shall compete in righteousness. To GOD is your
final destiny - all of you - then He will inform you of everything you had
disputed.
[23:61] They are eager to do righteous works; they
compete in doing them.
(32) Is Islam the last
religion?
Islam "Submission" is the religion whereby we recognize God's absolute authority,
and reach an unshakable conviction that God ALONE possesses all power; no
other entity possesses any power that is independent of Him. The natural
result of such a realization is to devote our lives and our worship absolutely
to God ALONE. This is the First Commandment in all the scriptures, including
the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Final Testament (Quran). Therefore
There is ONLY ONE religion and that religion is submission to God alone.
Islam (Submission) is not just a name of a religion but a description of
what is acceptable to God. There may be "Submitters" within every religion.
There may be Submitters who are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist,
or anything else. These Submitters, collectively, constitute the only religion
acceptable to God. As emphasized by the theme the Quran, all Submitters who
are devoted to God ALONE, and do not set up any idols beside God, are redeemed
into God's eternal kingdom (2:62). A criterion of the true submitters is
that they will find nothing objectionable in the Quran.
(33) In Islam we are to advocate
righteousness and forbid evil. What are the boundaries and limitations of
this responsibility ? How do you see this relating to interfering in personal
freedom?
One should not force religion on others. God knows what is in our innermost
thoughts. We know when we are forcing and when we are not. Our duty is
only to give the correct message without forcing it on the people.
Action is only needed when there is oppression and aggression against you
or your family or community of believers. This action may be as peaceful
as leaving to another place or as e standing for your right and fight in
self defense for your rights to stay in your place and practice your religion
freely. Never should you use force to impose your belief as long as the other
party do not interfere with you practicing your religion.
[18:29] Proclaim: "This is the truth from your Lord,"
then whoever wills let him believe, and whoever wills let him disbelieve.
[16:125] You shall invite to the path of your Lord
with wisdom and kind enlightenment, and debate with them in the BEST POSSIBLE
manner..
.
(34) Considering the Hadiths were
written 200 years after the death of the prophet against his will, in a
traditional Islamic state, how and where are we supposed to derive the specifics
of our legislature ? e.g. What is the difference between someone that runs
over someone with their car and someone who commits murder ? What is the
punishment for killing a woman, your daughter, a Christian, or another man?
how will the inheritance be distributed ?...etc.
From the Quran. The laws regarding murder and inheritance are all clearly
stated in the Quran. The details were deliberately left out , so each community
works them out to suit them. This is a mercy from God. In general Quran
discourages the capital punishment even for murder, although
it allows it in special cases. Quran encourages the family
of the victim to forgive. The details of every
law given in the Quran is left for us to work it out, as
we live under different circumstances. A man who lives in
the jungle, for example, may be killed with basic tools for a murder
he committed, while a man who lives in the USA may get a sleeping medicine
to let him die in peace. Both cases are punished for a similar crime but
the details of achieving this was different. These are the kind
of details left for us, God does not run out of words or does He forget.
(35) What are some practical changes
that can be implement into an Islamic state government to make it PURE Islamic,
as opposed to its current form of interpretation.
They should rule in accordance with the laws of God (Quran) and not rules
made by men and falsely attributed to God or the messenger.
To GOD is your
final destiny - all of you - then He will inform you of everything you had
disputed.
[5:49] You shall rule among them in accordance with
GOD's revelations to you. Do not follow their wishes, and beware lest they
divert you from some of GOD's revelations to you. If they turn away, then
know that GOD wills to punish them for some of their sins. Indeed, many people
are wicked.
